I recently picked up a Zouave musket made by Euroarms. Fit and finish is really nice. I'm picking up all the stuff to shoot it next weekend. I cant wait to take it to the range. Anybody else have one? What kind of loads are you using and what kind of accuracy are you getting?
Thanks
Rob

The Zouave was made for no more than 60 grains. While yours is safe to shoot much more, I believe you'll find the best load within 5 grains of 60.

Mines a Zoli, but as noted above I shoot no more than 60 gr's of FFg behind either a 505 or 515 gr mini ball.
Looks like you made a good find there, range report due next.

Mine likes 45 grns FFG behind a 315 gn minie. Be sure to slug the bore, otherwise your accuracy will vary. The bore of my Numerich Arms barrel is .580 so I use a .578 dia minie. This is a very accurate combination for target use.

They are fairly accurate with a PRB too. At about 90grs you get a nice "crack" when it goes off. I've used the .560 and .570 ball with success. It also likes the Lyman 575213-OS (Old Style) minie. I use mine for hunting and so my Zoli likes 90grs FFFg and the 575213-OS minie. It'll go through a deer lengthwise.

I am trying to sell that exact rifle.

Mine with a 500 grain minie and 60 grains of Triple Seven (no BP in the area) fired 2.5 inch clover leafs at 100 yards. 6 inches high and 4 to the right of center. I am still curious what it would do with the 300 yard leaf at range.
