Bud's has absolutely no #1's in stock.

What's an ok for one in 98% condition? I'm looking for a Standard in 30-06.

No's 1s are often hard to find, at least in my experience. Don't ask me why.

Yeah, I looked at those ads.

I'd be willing to go $750. $800 if that's fair.

What do you think?

I bid $1,000 for an International w/Leupold 4-12 scope. Was high bidder but never met the reserve.

Dunno what you should pay for one, but it's a fantastic rifle. The one I shot was a Centennial Commemorative in 6mm Remington, and it just about converted me to getting one.

its because #1s are no longer a standard production rifle for ruger. They are going to make limited runs of a couple calibers a year and thats it. I expect that alone will push the price of #1s way up.

All makers list EVERY gun on their site, regardless if that model, finish, Barrel length etc is currently in production or not.

They don't have enough production lines to make all of them @ once.

Ever notice when one wholesaler has a certain model, they all have it? A run has been made and they are available.

When they are temporarily out of production, finding one is tough and more often then not, expensive.

I bought a very clean used Standard #1 in .30-06 a few years ago for $600, perhaps that's a guide to what they might go for now. Bought a new one in .204 a few months ago, I think it was about that same price.
