Ever picked up a box of 12 gauge ammo when you meant to get a box of 20 gauge?

Have you ever picked up a box of 12 gauge ammo when you meant to get a box of 20 gauge?

Picked up a 100 round box of 12 gauge ammo instead of a 100 round box of 20 gauge? :(

Went dove hunting the other day. I had a bunch of loose reloads in a cardboard box, before hurrying out the door, I scooped up several handfulls of shells. Got to my spot and went to load up, all I had was 00 buck, which had been in another box similiar to the box with the reloads.

My buddy recently bought a case of 20 gauge Rem. Gun Club's for $54.99...he wanted 12 gauge, doesn't have a 20, then sold them to me for $50.

Love when that happens:)

I haven't bought the wrong stuff for a gun personally, but I was at the range the other day and someone handed the RO a box of .45 GAP and asked if he had anything he could use it for.

I learned to find compatibility by building computers, I make sure all my stuff is compatible :p

I was stocking up on 00 buck and took every box in that pile. When I was out shooting I noticed I had picked up 3.5" shells along with all my 2 3/4". Still have those 2 boxes, probably gonna buy a single shot magnum shotty to use em. :D

A similar experience buying primers last week. I grabbed a box of shotgun primers at the range on my home. Once I went to put them in my drawer I realized that I needed large pistol primers:banghead: Oh well- a braincloud now and then happens, and I can always use more primers. Just forced me to make a pilgrimage to Cabela's!

I'll give you $5 shipped for it.

So... which is it? You bought 12ga and wanted 20ga or the other way 'round?

I actually got a box of 20ga when I was look for 12ga, I just phrased it the way I did to identify people who might be in the opposite situation and likely to consider an even trade.

Not a lot of 20ga people out there it seems. And the few there are own a 12ga as well!

Did you bag your limit? :D

I've done the opposite before. Bought a bunch of 20ga ammo when I meant to get 12ga.

I had to go down to the LGS and pick up an old beat up break-open single shot for $60 after that. :D

You could try listing it in the classifieds "WTT/WTS".

BTW, what kind did you buy and what kind do you want? Maybe we can trade.

Now I have done that !!!!!

No, I haven't.

But I have left home with a couple of 100 round bulk packs of 20 gauge shells, a ton of skeet and my thrower...only to realize I brought an assortment of 12 gauge shotguns. :banghead:

Now that takes the cake !!!!!!!!!!!

I did the opposite with 20ga slugs not to long ago picked up 40 20ga. slugs when I wanted 12ga. They were behind glass with the front showing that didn't say the caliber but were in the same place that I had previously gotten the 12ga slugs from. Noticed it when I got home and was mad.
