Just a quick little story from my ER files
about guns at garage sales.
Had an eldery lady come in via ambulance one day along with her rather embarrassed husband. Seems he was showing a .270 to a guy at a garage sale and pulled the trigger to show the fella how light the trigger pull was. You can probably guess the rest of the story. Luckily, the lady only got hit in the right buttock, but I can tell you, that .270 takes some flesh with it at close range. The hubby told me he had been buying and selling guns for 50 years and this was the first time anything like this had ever happened. He said as soon as he got home he was getting rid of every gun in the house. And from acrossed the room, where his sweet loving wife lay on the stretcher we heard, " You damned sure better, 'cause if I get my hands on one of them it won't be me laying on my belly with my bare ass in the air next time!" Lot's of lessons to be learned here fellas, not the least of which is "Careful with the wife, she knows where you sleep."
