Company I work for decided to require employees to sign a 'No weapons' agreement, where they stepped over the line is this same agreement gives them the ability to search your private vehicle, denies you the ability to have any 'weapons' in your vehicle. In addition the definition of 'weapon' has the wonderful weasel words "but not limited to" so that they could up and decide anything.
This company doesn't deal directly with consumers, but we are the leader in our industry and if our customers were feeling the pain.. our marketing department would hear about it.
As of yet, I haven't signed.. and when they ask I'll politely inform them that pursuant to our current agreement I store my 'weapons' in my private vehicle. As they are in my private vehicle at this time, I cannot sign that agreement without immedietly being in violation.
Just wondering if this has ever been tried. As far as I (and several of my co-workers, including one of the company founders) am concerned, they crossed the line with the private vehicle searches..etc..
