I saw this, and in a way, it kind of made me chuckle. but then when you think about it, it is pretty baddass.

Excessive? or just really well prepared? YOU DECIDE!

It would b fun to have at the range but it would kinda be a waste other wise.
It would also suck reloading them.
There that is my to cents.

I don't know.. lol

...

Hmmm, seems that with the heavy load on that side, one would need to have 2-3 guns on the other side to even out the look, otherwise, right-side heavy-tilt painting may be in effect.. :what:

I think its a bit much, it would be awkward to wear. Hate to say it, but also I think its outright excessive, and its probably going to make even some of the more openminded people question rather you put on a tinfoil hat when watching TV

Wow....If you need that many mags for a handgun, you should probably be carrying a rifle or subgun. :neener:

My idea for comfortable shoulder carry has always been to balance the load. With a steel framed 1911, that would mean a bunch of mags. However, this isn't a bunch of mags, its a BUNCH of mags. I think that this would reverse the situation, making you unbalanced to the other side.

BTW, I've seen those pics before, but I can't remember the site. I've looked for it a couple of times since, but no dice. Any chance I could get a link?

Wow, looks like another A-Team episode :scrutiny: I'm not sure if that's tactical or practical  I'm curious the true context of that pic

Well, if Hollywood were ever to make a movie that depicted correct firearms use (i.e., no endless ammo without reload scenes), this is what a mag holster would look like.

Probably not super practical, but we have all heard the old adage, "an unloaded gun is useless, unless you can throw it 850 fps".

I would add to that, a gun is only as useful as the number of loaded magazines you have ready to feed it, so it can do its job.

I started out with just a few magazines, but I continually add to my collection because you never know when you'll need them. The more the merrier and the better prepared you'll be.

If you had a pistol + carbine using the same magazines (like a beretta storm + pistol), I could see the logic in it.

Heck the stroud 10 pack (that is what it is called) is only $165. I might just buy two, to balance the load for my next trip to pick up a six pack at the grocery. :)

I guess you'll never need one of them as long as you skip the Godfathers daughter's wedding reception?
When would you anticipate that intense/prolonged a pistol engagement, and under what circumstances would you live to use carry+ ten magazines? Zombies storming the bunker?

Those are some neat ideas for extra magazines.
I often use my empty shot shell waist bag for pistol magazines when I am making noise at the range.
