Usually I am the guy who can't get there until the day after the sale or only when nothing I need is available. I always hear others quoting these great steals and ask how they do it. "Just happened to be there" get old after it is heard a hundred times. So I am finally able to say I found some deals of my own.
Well, I was at a hole in the wall shop today and spent $50 (and gave up a couple MRE's). I brought home a box of moly coated 50gr Vmax bullets, 40gr of the same, 100gr SPBT .257 bullets, and 6 used, but good 30rd mags for my AR! I would have bought more if the budget allowed. He still has a ton of stuff at "old days" prices. Even his powder (which is new) is cheaper than the rest around here!
While I was there I picked up a shotgun before it was traded in for my father-in-law for $95. Some kind of bolt action Mossberg with ported barrel and tunable choke in 20ga. I called him on it and he asked me to jump on it before it was gone as he had been looking of something like it for a long time, but was tied up (wife). Being he has more shotguns than any 5 people I know I figure it must be some kind of collectible. The 12ga (same thing!) rolled out before I could get it.
Doubt I need hide how happy I am right now. The guy has a whole case of the mags. So if you want any, PM me, and I'll see what I'll hook you up with his number. His stock of bullets is old, but still current, and I plan to raid the rest of them for what I need (.22 and .257 mostly). He has others if you are looking.
