Anybody here get a sig P365 yet? I must have been living under a rock because I had never heard of it until a couple days ago. Looking at the specs it looked very good being almost the exact same size and weight as my LC9s pro I currently carry. I went to gander mountain yesterday to get my mitts on one and I was extremely impressed with it.

It feels bigger in the hand than my LC9s does as the grip is a little fatter and less shapely due to the double stack mag. Its not very rounded off and scultped, it feels more like a glock 42 in size and shape due to the blocky slide and grip, but I think with the right holster it shouldn't print to bad in a front pocket. The salesguy let me try putting it in my front pocket and it felt fine and extracted easily. Comes with night sights now and the sight picture looked really nice. The slide spring is really heavy but that will not be a problem for me as I have strong hands.

Now one of the most important things for me on a gun is the trigger. The trigger on just about all micro 9mm's I've tried are pretty bad in my opinion. The LC9s is the only one I've ever shot that had what I would call a good trigger. I shoot my LC9s alot and shoot it very well thanks to the excellent trigger. A couple weeks ago I was ringing a 12" plate with it at 75 yards. Well the trigger on this P365 was just awesome. Its a little heavier than an lc9s, felt like mabey 5 pounds, but there was a good bit less travel to break and a shorter reset. I could tell from dry firing it in the store that I will likely be able to shoot this just as well as I do my lc9s.

So those that have one or have tried one what has your experience been?

You found one at Gander and didn't buy it? My Gander has a waiting crowd (they won't take names, first come first served) every Wednesday to see if they got any in. When they do, they are gone in 30 minutes.

They had one in stock for $499. They said they sell out of them as soon as they get them. I'm in no hurry about it but I do plan to get one soon. My LC9s serves me just fine for the moment.

Hahahaha should have jumped on it... I also found one at the Rochester Scheels, but I jumped on it right away. I hadn't even been looking seriously, but I knew I'd not see another one the moment I did start looking.

I dearly love mine but final judgment is on hold until leather arrives. That's the problem with getting lucky and finding one of the earliest of the new guns. Takes forever to get the holsters you want. I have probably another month until the backlog of orders at my holster maker of choice makes it way down to me.

It is substantially more comfortable in hand than any of the other subcompact pistols, points naturally to me, comes with good night sights (although I'd prefer an orange ring instead of green- the lime green washes out more in daylight than orange to me), carries 40-50% more ammunition than its single-stack competitors while being much more ergonomic and smaller in every dimension than its double-stack competitors for the same number of rounds.

It is a great shooter. Recoil impulse is very mild. Also I really like the look of the Sig striker guns, more than any of the other gun makers' offerings.

At $499, that seems to be just a little below what I am seeing in other places; good price.

Got one of them $499 gander ones. Love the trigger but it is just too small for my hands. Bought it thinking to replace my Glock 26 for summer carry but am sticking with the Glock.

well luckily if you want to sell it, it sounds like you'll have people lining up to buy it for retail cost.

Indeed, one of the reasons I took the chance. Figure I can get out of it what I put in easily right now, though I'm not done with it yet. Might be a good workout/running option vs my LCR
