I (legally) CC a Glock 19 daily. It's my only pistol at this time. I have no interest in carrying with a mounted light, as I think it's unnecessary considering the POU of a carry pistol. I do however want to have a light on it at home for HD.

I'm picking up a Streamlight TLR-3 as they're affordable, reliable, and quick to mount/unmount. The plan is to get home and mount the TLR-3. Then unmount before leaving in the morning and bringing the gun.

When home I sometimes carry the G19 in a SERPA holster with no paddle (in hand) once I take off my carry gear. This way I've still got the gun but don't have to be CCing it around the house.

The SERPA isn't going to work with a light mounted so I'm looking for an inexpensive fabric holster recommendation. The idea is to just slide the G19 with light into it so it can be carried around/kept bedside with one chambered and the trigger not exposed. Doesn't need to have any serious belt mounting options or anything but a snap strap for retention would be nice.

(By the way, I have searched).

I'll admit up front, I'm not a Glock guy, though I think they are fine pistols. However, don't all (OK, nearly all) the holster related negligent discharges have something to do with a "floppy" holster? Wouldn't you be better off with a kydex holster to keep the trigger protected?

If you are just looking to cover the trigger while the gun is on a nightstand, a Raven VanGuard ($20) or something similar would be perfect. You could even make one yourself. Let me know if you need a piece of kydex.
