Face the Nation, AWB debate

I'm very wary of anything that these polls that contend that the American public is in favor of an AWB.
The wording of the question is generally along these lines..

"If it meant the end of crime, vaginal yeast infections, male pattern baldness, painful rectal itch and the heartbreak of psoriasis, would you support a ban on those terrible assault weapons which are only used to kill people?"

Well, uh, yeah, I guess.

Like we all know, and should put out there like Wayne L was trying to say at one point, "Assault Weapons" are automatic or select fire weapons. The cosmetic features are what scares these dweebs. Besides, to me, assault weapon is as assinine a term as is Saturday night special, which means nothing and describes nothing to anyone except as a contrived term by probably some news reporter who needed a trade mark to make his/her name known at the time. Such BS!
