Hit the poll then let us hear what your favorite 'Factory Loaded HUNTING Ammo' is. :D

What bullet type, weight and manufacturer you prefer, and for what game you use this on.:D

Please NO reload recipes, talk about reloads or such.:D

Been a fan of Remington's Core-Lokt ammo for years. I use it mostly for whitetail ... 150 gr in .308, 165 gr in .30-06. Works every time.

Had good luck the past few years with the Winchester Supreme Elite XP3
300 Win Mag 150gr.
Has worked flawlessly on the two Whitetails the past two seasons.

95 grain SST 6mm, two whitetails.
160 grain LeverEvolution .30-30, two pigs.

TexAg - tell me bouat the SST in that 6mm- penetration, expansion, distance shot etc...

Yea... I like the Hornady Light Mags, have used them for years, 7mm-08 139gr SST, 30-06 165gr SST, 300Win Mag 165gr and 180gr SSt and BTSP.

Excellent, (knock on wood) accuracy out of the two Remington Model 7's and the Savage 14 and 116 with the Hornady fodder.

:D

Federal's .30-06 165 gr Sierra boat tail soft point is now marketed as 'Vital Shok'. In my opinion that's the BEST ever off the shelf hunting cartridge. Zero it at 200 yards and hunt deer, elk, antelope and bear.

The Fusions shoot better out of my guns, but the Hornady Custom is a close 2nd and they are a little cheaper.

I picked 'other' as Yugo M67 ball (7.62x39) and Federal XM193 (5.56 NATO) weren't available poll selections.

BSW

Black Hills Gold loaded with 130gr Barnes TSX (.270)
Hornady 240gr XTP JHP (.44mag Ruger Super Blackhawk)
Federal 165gr Vital Shock (.308)
cheapest ya got in my .30-30

140gr Core-Lokt shot the best out of my Rem 700 in 7mm-08. In the last couple years we finally cooked up some handloads that outshot them and used heavier bullets.

Knjs1, both 6mm bullets were right under the skin on the far side of the deer I shot. Both mushroomed perfectly and appeared to lose little, if any weight. One was a doe at about 160 yards and the other was a buck at about 70. Doe dropped dead and buck went maybe 15 yards in a circle.

for the calibers that I hunt with, it would be Winchester Super-X.

308, 45-70 and 22 Hornet all work great in the rifles I use them in. :)
