Factory Remington Folding stock???

I've got an 870 that i'm tricking out and i wonder if the Remington factory folding stock will work with a vent rib barrel....thanks in advance......Dick

I don't think so.
The factory folder is designed to lay the butt plate flush on the barrel, and firmly enough that it won't rattle.

I'm pretty sure the rib will prevent the stock from moving far enough down for the locking mechanism to engage.

well maybe the force was with me when i got outbid on ebay all those times of trying to get one...anybody know for sure????? thanks...Dick

the factory folding stock will definately not work with a vent ribbed barrel for the exact reason previously stated...it was designed to lay flush on the top of the barrel.

you might want to reconsider the factory folding stock anyway. besides being overly heavy, it hurts in recoil...trust me on this one
