I found this in some of the misc mixed ammo im still digging through from my grandfathers gun shop. Its 30-30 Winchester that has a .22 psp sabot as the projectile. It appears to be a factory loaded round. Heres some pics also, what can anybody tell me?

Looks like a Remington Accelerator. .224" bullets saboted into .30 caliber rifle cartridges. I think the .30-30 was rated for 3300 fps, the .30-06 for over 4000. I shot some '06 when they were readily available and they were not particularly accurate.

The 'R-P' means Remington-Peters. It's a Remington made .30-30 'Accelerator' round. An ill fated attempt to let shooters use their deer hunting rifles for varmints. They're too inaccurate for varmint hunting.
Remington still lists the Accelerator ammo(.30-30 and .30-06. They loaded Accelerators in .308 at one time too) on their ballistics charts, but none on their ammunition page. It doesn't appear that they load any of them any more.
