FAL designations?

Okay, another thread brought this to mind; I have a FAL from my uncle, along with magazines and all. However, I keep seeing places like DSArms saying "metric" FAL, and I don't know what the heck that means!

I get the funny feeling it might matter, though. Help!

That's a question that can't really be answered in one reply...sorta like asking what are all the models Chevy has ever produced...

As for the "metric" vs. "inch" designation, that refers to the dimensional layout of the receivers. Some parts interchange, some don't. Invest in the time to read and understand. It's complicated but that's what makes it fun!
