FAL Inch/Metric Parts Interchangeability

Anyone know what parts on FAL rifles are interchangeable between the inch and metric patterns? Specifically buttstocks and foregrips? I've read on other sites that the buttstocks are different, but not much in how they are different. Another site that they can interchange, just not easily. Does anyone have any photos showing the differences? Thanks.
