Does any one know if the same furniture can be used on an inch pattern FAL that can be used on a metric? Namely the buttstock, I am looking to get a SAW stock for my inch FAL, but the only ones I can find are for metric applications only. Don't wnat to spend the money if it won't work!

Metric furnature does not fit an inch lower receiver without a lot of chopping and gluein.

The good news is that a metric lower receiver bolts on just fine, and costs about ~$100 complete.

Then sell your old lower to make up the cost.

I hope you are talkin about a SAW P.G., otherwise we are going to tease you about the UGLY SAW Buttstock:neener:

But if you do change out the lowers, you need to change out the rear-sight too.

Just put the tall inch rear sight on the metric lower, sights do switch, furnature dosent.

It will depend on what type of front sight, if the protecting ears on the front sight are open it is inch, which is a little taller. If they are closed it is metric. Because of all the FrankinFALs out there I would not presume it was all inch or all metric.

I prefer Para rear sights which need a metric front sight/gas block.

Right, the sights do switch easily. But metric lower with metric sights on an inch upper will not shoot POI at all, so the inch sights need to be used. This isn't hard for folks to do, as the inch sights are nice.
