This Monday’s past range visit, indoors, was special. For the first time in too many years two of my sons. , oldest 53 and youngest 43 were together with me shooting hand guns. Ones laid off and ones on vacation, so the sun and moon were in alignment for time off with their busy schedule. Middle guy was working.
Dad supplied the Ammo, seven hand guns were mine and the oldest guys.
Over heard the oldest, probably by design, remark as we were leaving the range: We sure burned up a lot of bullets, the youngest replied, that’s ok dad will reload them. :)
And I will.

Happy New Year All.

postscript. The oldest boy has been watching Dillon 750 and 1050 videos on YouTube.

You deserve a smart Dad award. During last Thanksgiving I treated my daughter and her husband to a indoor shooting range session. I paid for everything though they did use their own guns.

When they visit us I take care of everything...guns, ammo and targets. I even slip in a cap-n-ball black powder revolver for fun.

FYI. A 30 caliber surplus ammo can will hold 1,000 rounds of 9mm.

Thank you for that. I’ve now reached the point in life where Ive become too old to sell any of my guns. Still buy some , have several in mind, knowing that they will go to family who will most likely use them.
A shooting buddy, retired co-worker and fellow gun club member, has firearms and occasionally buys another, hand guns and rifles, that I can only dream of. We joke together sometimes, with two daughters, neither interested in the least bit in firearms, he knows his outstanding collection, not collectibles for the most part, just high quality shooters will wind up sold off to some dealer. Example he bought a Smith and Wesson Model 52 last year, like new in box, paid a premium price. I told him, leave it to me in your will, I’ll get good use of it. He laughedb,at 78 I’m six years older than he.

Last summer while my daughter from Texas was visiting I showed her PSA Magpul Rifle Kit that I built on a Anderson Lower. The first words out of her month when she handled it was “Gee thanks Dad. Is this gun mine?” and she said “it doesn’t matter. I will get all of your guns after you die because my brother won’t want them.”

Hummm she is a smart kid but not smart enough. They are running out of room with another baby on the way so they don’t have enough space to store them
