Drum fed magazines are illegal in some states. You see, 12GA slugs fired from a drum are way more deadly than from a tubular magazine.

Can you hold rounds in the tubular magazine AND the drum and still have it cyle correctly? I'm guessing no but I've always wondered that. I always thought the knoxx sidewinder kit looked like fun to play around with but I would think that would really slow down the handling of the gun if you wanted it be used for anything besides plinking

6-8 reliable shots, smooth action, durable weapon, resistant to elements, efficient will trump a drum mag or semi w/ tons of rounds any day imo....therefore my "fantasy" shotgun would be either a 14-16" 590a1 w/ vang comp treatment or a Vang Comp Wingmaster.

And here's my latest monstrosity.
MPI and HPT bolt (the picture isn't good enough to see it, though), parkerizing under the FSB, and dual heat shield handguards! (Of course, I'm only making fun of myself, since my AR-15 actually was put together based on "the chart," or at least it will be when I have all the parts!) And it's got an extended mag tube, perfect for 3-gun!
And one of these days, I'm going to figure out how to get photos white-balanced. Argh!
