rednecdan - "tactical bible carrier."

Great idea. I've been looking for a new carrier for The Book with a western flair, may pick up two when I find a style I like.

You know...at a wedding, in a church with 100 or so guests, depending on how you pack that bible carrier I bet no one would be the wiser.

There are a few advantages to being a very large male. I just stick my 1911 in my right front pocket and forget about it.

Of course, since this is a formal occasion, I guess the gold cup would be in order.

Of course, where I live and the people I run with, the bride is likely to be packing, and the reception is likely to be held at the clubhouse of the range, so it's not really a problem.

Hey!! You guys reminded me.....

A bellyband keeps a S&W 908 & spare mags under a shirt, and a Blade Tech UCH will hide a Hi Power better than expected........

But I still like showing off those old blued N frames..........

Right now I am usually carrying a ultra lite model 817 in .38 Spl for those formal evenings. Just like campgunner says being that I am a rather large guy i just put it into my front pocket and am good to go.

I consider dressing for church formal, so I do one of two things. If I wear my suit coat then my Wilson Professional, a 4" 1911 rides in my Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 at about 4 o'clock on my right hip. If I go sans the coat my Taurus PT-145 either rides in my right front dress slack pocket in an Uncle Mikes Pocket Holster or in my left cowvoy boot cuff secured with an Uncle Mikes IWB with a metal belt clip that holds it securely to the boot.

I dress, even formally, to conceal my CCW.
