Favorite Ruger?

Ruger LCP Coyote Special, because it's the only Ruger handgun that has any appeal to me (other than revolvers).

My favorite Ruger would have to be my Mk.II with its 5 1/2" bull barrel. Fitted with walnut thumbrest stocks, the gun just feels right and balances perfectly in my hand. I get my best accuracy from CCI MiniMags and Wolf Match Target ammo.

The MKII .22 is a lot of fun gun but my favorite is this P97 that goes along with me most days. :)

10/22.....Oh, that's a rifle. :)
Not always.....

My Mark II NRA commemorative.

But I'm buying a 6" stainless tapered barrel Mark II so my NRA gun can retire to the safe.

I like it because it fits MY hand ... your hand might prefer the 22/45 grip if the rake on the traditional Ruger .22 pistol isn't your cup of tea.

I do like the 1911 grip angle of the the 22/45, but the price for anything but the basic model with the flat plastic grips leaves me leaning towards a Buckmark for a .22lr. Yes, I can be a picky bastard at times :) . My g/f loves her Mk 1 though.

The BuckMark is a spiffy gun, in fact if I had it all to do over again I might have a BuckMark pistol or two and a BuckMark carbine as a companion, sharing mags and an "ultimate cliploader", which in theory works with BuckMark magazines just like it works with Ruger mkII/III magazines.

But after tinkering my mkIII 5.5" bull barrel is about perfect for my hand and trigger preferences, and MrsBFD has hers tweaked in also. I don't think the BuckMark has the aftermarket options that the mkIII does, although it can take a new barrel without ordering a "gun" according to the ATF's asinine opinions on what part of a Ruger .22 pistol is "a gun".

But the used mkIII 22/45 is a steal, maybe can often find some poor schmuck who can't understand the basic care and maintenance of the gun to offload it to you for a good price.

Ive bought and sold more then a few but recently picked up a SR9c and i have to say its my favorite semi Pistol so far... With that said i will never give up my ss 6'' GP 100

MkII Target stainless

Not only is that pistol super accurate and a joy to shoot, I have used it to teach everyone that I have introduced to handguns. Its perfect for new shooters to build confidence.

The blued(black) P95 is off the scale for an "all business" look.

I agree!! :D

That P97 is also very nice...how does it shoot? I think that's the .45 configuration and is discontinued, right?

i definitely dig my Stainless MKII Target 5.5
but i really really want a MKI or II stainless thin shot barrel...that has to be the sexiest gun i have ever seen

I love my P95.... price was only a very small factor in picking out that gun. I love everything about it except the trigger pull, hopefully a gun smith will be fixing that soon :D

Fav Ruger

Favorite for pure fun, probably a toss-up between my MKII and my almost 40 year old 10/22.
