I keep seeing posts about striker fired pistols and it seems that striker fired is becoming synonymous with Glock. Looking through my collection I found eight striker fired pistols. The HK P7M13 is my favorite. How about everyone else?
My current favorite is my brand new Glock 27! I bought it today and put around 220 rounds through it. Thing's a beast. I have a feeling that if...who are we kidding? I have a feel when I pick up a Glock 23 I'll like it more because of the larger size. But the Glock 27 is a great size for IWB EDC.
My favorite striker fired pistol is probably one of the P7s. I like the M13, but I'm probably going to have to go with the M8 because of its compactness.
I like my Glock, but for me its a working gun. Its something to bring out when I need something that will absolutely work, but I don't want to worry about hurting the finish. Let me put it this way: I would have no qualms about literally throwing my (unloaded) glock 25 yards down range and then picking it up, loading, and firing it. But, if someone I was shooting with mentioned doing that to my Sig, they'd be finding another ride home
Glock 17 gen 4
Not something to bring out from the safe and brag about, just something that works. Even in the unlikely event that I would break something, it can be fixed easily.
I am sure that there are other fine striker fired guns, but Glock 9mm series will be really hard to beat. The superior grip angle is also an advantage.
My favorite striker fired pistol would have to be my Ruger SR9c. Better trigger, better sights, better ergonomics, and better overall feel than my Glock 17.
I hate to say it, but my Glock 21. I can get it back on target faster than any other handgun I own. Just a great marriage of mass, polymer, and caliber...for me, of course.
Glock. Out of probably a dozen different guns I've had chance to shoot so far, I am most consistently accurate with it. Although some other do feel more comfortable in hand, somehow it doesn't translate in accuracy or ease of shooting.
