This use of political pressure forcing them to crack down on dissent and on protest is taking time away from finding real terrorists

So you see to leftists, torching laboratories and beating researchers is OK. Get it?

FBI Hunting Down Eco-Terrorist Group

A militant group that's trying to save this country's lab animals is hurting people. So, the FBI is after the activists, calling them terrorists.

In the name of protecting animals, so-called activists torched this University of Washington laboratory. The manager of Huntingdon Medical Research was beaten outside his home. And a former spokesman for the Earth Liberation Front says the movement that has caused $45-million dollars in damage, won't stop there.

Julia Thornton claims that "it's only a matter of time before there will be an incident where someone is harmed or killed."

Kevin Jonas of the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty group says, "Our organization recognizes that within every social movement, there is an element of underground direct action that plays a role."

That talk has Kevin Jonas' group in the FBI's crosshairs. Agents raided its New Jersey offices and the Seattle home of an associate, seizing computers, CD's and phone lists.

Authorities say these elusive, loosely knit terrorist groups are ramping up their rhetoric and tactics. Instead of just going after companies that use animals for medical research, they're attacking people who do business with them -- sometimes successfully. A stink bomb attack at an office building led Huntingdon's insurance company to cancel their policies.

Similar attacks prompted accounting firm Deloitte and Touche to turn its back on the bio-tech firm. But activists insist what they're doing is protected free speech.

Jonas thinks the FBI should be spending their time elsewhere. "They're misspending their time. This use of political pressure forcing them to crack down on dissent and on protest is taking time away from finding real terrorists that crash jet planes into buildings."

But for those who are alive thanks to medical advances made using animal testing, this eco-terrorism is just as deadly.

Greg Maas is disturbed by their position. "Basically, these people are saying that the life of a rat is equivalent to the life of my daughter."

Huntingdon officials say they will not be intimidated. And the militants targeting them say they won't stop until the company is destroyed. A promise the FBI intends to make sure they don't keep.

Let's get a few things straight right from the get-go: Burning down somebody elses building is not a legitimate form of dissent. Beating a man down outside of his home is not a legitimate form of protest.

You gas people out of their offices, it is a criminal act. You beat a man down outside his home, it is a criminal act. You burn down a building that doesn't belong to you, it is a criminal act.

It is the mandate of the FBI to investigate crimes which cross state lines.

Your little bunch of pansy-tailed, hippy-wannabe, granola, nincompoop bliss-ninnies don't want the FBI on your butt?

Don't commit crimes across state lines.

And don't insult my intelligence by pretending that your cowardly little weasel acts aren't really crimes worth investigating.

Free speech does not exist on other people's property. The right to free speech ends where someone else's rights begin...property or otherwise.

Ooh, Ooh I can help! PETA gives them money and probably other support, so a JDAM through PETA's world HQ in Norfolk ought to help the war right? Need GPS coords?

Its time for liberal logic

I don't see why you can't beat people, or torch buildings. After all you can throw paint at people who wear fur, block bridges and other traffic, vandalize low gas mileage cars and trucks, and even roll grenades into restaurants under the first amendment.

As long as what you do is not hate speech, or offends anyone, its covered by the first amendment.

You guys are just a bunch of crazy right wingers.

I cant wait for standing wolf's reply, I hope it something original, I have not seen him cover this kind of topic.
