This looks like a nice furniture upgrade. Anyone seen one?

:) Love the new Model 70 both the featherweight and the sporter. I want one in 7mm-08 since they won't build it in 6.5x55.

Local shop had one the other day in 270. It was not near as nice as that pic.

There are a few listed on GunBroker, but calibers are limited.

Viking, are you sure it was the deluxe model? Last I checked they hadn't hit the market yet.

BTW, they don't make the deluxe in a short action...otherwise one would likely make my list (in 7mm-08Rem.)

:)

I hear ya, Abel. I can't say too much bad about the .270Win., it just isn't my cup-o-tea.

:)

Sorry, OGG. Does it help if I say that I really like the standard fwt., and the new stock (if it turns out as nice as pictured) is a great addition without adding a great deal more to the asking price? :D

I believe it was a deluxe model. Might have been a supergrade model.......

The ones I just looked at on Gunbroker are 2008 models......

I've seen some Super Grade M70s at my local Gander Mountain **drool** their wood looked even better than the above picture

Good Morning,

I bought a 243 featherweight about 6 months ago. The wood and the fit and finish are stunning, and she shoots as good as she looks. Last 3 shot group I shot off of a bench rest was 1 1/2" at 300 yards. I thinks she is a keeper.

I wish Winchester would chamber some in 257 Roberts, 6.5x55 and 7x57, I'd get one for sure!

I saw yesterday where CZ has a special run of 7x57. Maybe some other companies can do similar things. Like Remington used to do with the classic.

I too would love to see the return of the 6.5x55mmSwede in the Winnies; it was, and remains to be, a fantastic cartridge in a great rifle.

:)
