These mags just don't feed. Ordered a replacement and it was worse. Just ordered a 450 bushmaster mag hoping it will work. The creedmoor shoots fantastically. Just have to bump the mag every time in order to feed the next round.

At one time I had Predators in 308, 223, and 6.5CM. The 308 used AI style mags and the 223 uses AR magazines. I never had any issues with those. I did eventually sell the 308, even though I liked it, and I still have the 223.

The 6.5 came with 4 round rotary mags and I had the occasional problem. Tried the newer 4 round stagger feed mags with the same results. The 3 round 450 BM magazine was a little better.

I didn't have that much trouble, just enough that I'd not trust the rifle if I were hunting something that would bite back. But I ended up selling the 6.5 as well. Mine would shoot feed factory ammo just fine. But it didn't like the longer high BC handloads I was using. I even tried to seat the bullets a little deeper. They fit the magazine with room to spare, but would never feed the top round and occasionally one of the others.

The Ruger is darn accurate rifle for the money. I only paid $350 each for mine and they were all the Predator versions. At that price I could live with minor issues, but I ended up buying Tikka's and am much happier.

Leave it to Ruger to figure out how to screw up a fundamentally simple century old product.

I absolutely love the accuracy of this rifle out of the box. Currently, I have to pull the bolt back and hit the mag to load another round. Not quite like a single shot. Doesn't bother me too much as I never need more than one shot and don't shoot at running deer. Hoping the 450 mag will solve the problem.

I have a 6.5 predator and a couple of extra mags (rotary design) that all work flawlessly. As does my Ranch in 300 BLK, also with the rotary mag.

For the Ruger Ranch in 300 blackout; is a rotary magazine different from the one that comes with it?

I know that some people have no problem with them. I originally thought that my reloads were too long but had the same problem with some hornady I had bought. Glad you are not having issues

The one that comes with all the older ones are rotary mags. There is an option on later ones to be compatible with the AR mag, which wasn't available when I got mine.
