My wife was out shopping the other day and decided to stop by the local gun shop and pick me up some surprise ammo. Kind of like a little "thinking of you" gift. (God I love that woman ) What she brings back is a box of 165 gr 45 AUTO HYDRA-SHOK JHP Low Recoil. I am familiar with the standard ammunition in JHP but this low recoil thing is new to me. I would imagine that he reduced recoil is obtained by lowering the velocity and energy of the round? Should I worry about under-penetration and reduced expansion?
