Anyone tried the primed rifle brass from federal? 243, 25-06, 270. Natchez prices are considerable cheaper than win or rem brass. Why? Quality? Do you have to pay a haz mat fee on primed brass? Primers you do, ammo you don't.

Nope and I wouldn't either. Not that it's Federal brass. Although, some say Federal brass is a bit soft. I just want to control what components I use.

I used Federal brass pretty much exclusively until they started selling it as primed brass only. It works just fine and I never found it to be soft. I would presume it's primed with Federal 210 primers. I frequently use Federal 210M primers which are about the same as 210 primers except they are allegedly of higher quality because they are match primers.

i haven't had very good luck w/ federal brass. it does ok, but doesn't work as well as winchester brass. brass life seems shorter.

I have been using the same 100 Federal cases I bought once fired on ebay for the passed year and 3 lbs of powder. No issues and accuracy seem fine
