Ok; so I ordered springs for my 32auto AP-MBP. Was told it was the same spring set as for the P63 9mm mak version.

According to Wolff specs, the original hammer spring was a 16lb. I replaced it with an 11 lb. Most say that the #9 is too light. Easy enough. I also replaced the standard 11 lb recoil spring with a 15 lb. 2 part question:

1) Do you think the 15 lb recoil spring is too much, and should I leave the original 11 lb in it?
2) Do I HAVE TO REPLACE the firing pin spring if I replace the recoil spring? Is it a better or stronger spring that's needed because of the stronger recoil spring. (They obviously include one with the recoil spring for a reason).

The thing is; it seems like a royal PITA to replace the firing pin spring. I read different posts on numerous forums, but I'm not quite sure I understand getting the safety out and replacing the firing pin spring without the dreaded (SPRINGS POPPING OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE) warnings. Any thoughts????? Thx.... Mike.....

Just an update; WARNING; and KUDO.

1. UPDATE: I received the wolff springs. Replaced the recoil spring (30 seconds). Replaced the hammer spring (3 minutes). Replaced the firing pin spring (3 days - see warning)

2. WARNING: Follow the advice about taking the firing pin/spring out by doing so INSIDE of a large clear ziplock bag. I had just gotten the safety pull out; when the hemostats that was holding the firing pin back; in order to remove the safety; slipped off. The firing pin SHOT OUT and ricochet off the wall. I got the firing pin back as well as the firing pin spring. However, I lost the firing pin tension spring and tension plunger. 3 days later, I was slowly looking; I found the spring and plunger on a COBWEB in the corner of the room. (I now have an argument with my wife about me NOT CLEANING my hobby room). But how in the world I go so lucky; I'll never know.

3. KUDO: When I lost the tension spring and plunger; I remember a site called BuyMilsurp www.buymilsurp.com They have parts for just about every military style gun. They have every single part for a PA-63 or AP-MBP or CZ or whatever. You could build a gun from parts available. Their customer service is awesome and fast delivery. I received the replacement tension spring; even though I found the old one and plunger. But they sent me a sear pin instead of the plunger. A quick email, and I had a response saying the replacement part was in the mail. Talk about fast and good customer service. DEFINITELY CHECK THEM OUT. Also, www.gunsprings.com has great deals on the wolff springs. They too were fast, great service, large selection, etc....

So; anyway; head my warnings and use my kudos and you'll have some great experiences. Later.... Mike....
