FEG hi-power clones

I've heard some stuff on these FEG hi-power clones. To tell the truth i dont know a thing about 'em. does anyone know if they are decent sidearms or just plinkers only? Anyone know?

Bought an FEG model R9 about 20 years ago.
Great gun, functioned perfectly.
Still don't know why I sold it.

Just sold one today for $260. It seemed OK, although I only shot it a little. (I got it along with some other pieces I wanted)

One of the reasons I sold it was the Slide stop lever and catch were not to Hi Power Spec.

From breaking it down and laying it next to a FN the rest looked correct, but when you can find a REAL Hi Power for $400 fairly easily... I'd go for the real thing for anything other than a plinker.

i have one and shoot regularly with it in 9mm. i love it. reliable and easy to shoot. i caught mine on a trade. only thing i want is a ambi-safety since i am a lefty. so that leads to my question will a bhp fit my feg for a ambi-safety?

Not all FEG's are clones... some mid-range models had better blueing and extended controls but the cuts in the slide were done in a 'labor saving manner'. The early models were clones throughout, BOTH were sold as model PJK9HP.

The current Charles Daly HP IS an FEG hi-power clone fully compatible with Brownings.

FEG is a good gun you can use hard.

FEG is an often searched for item... there are 5+ pages dealing with them.

I also did a side by side comparison on another site of FEG's older and mid-production models.

With a bit of normal fitting, a standard Hi-Power safety should fit in a FEG, as long as it is the clone FEG and not one of their "similar" versions.

That would be the FEG model PJK-9HP, I believe.

Get the older PJK 9 HP with the wood grips, they are MK 2 clones of the Hi power. Mine is and is as robust as the original.

yeah i have the feg pjk and its great thanks for the info on the ambi-safety. does anyone know about those grips in the second picture of stingers pictures. i like those A LOT!
