Hi folks. I'm looking for input and opinions on the quality and durability of FEG firearms. What model do you have, how many rounds through it, and any problems? Thanks.

Have a PJK-9HP. Little rough around the edges but very accurate and reliable. Great gun for the money. Initially had a problem with the last round stovepipeing but switched to Mecgar mags and that seems to have solved the problem. The trigger was gritty but after removing the mag safety it is really nice.

I had the one that was DA in 9mm, it was called the P9R I think.

Pros:
1. One of the nicest blued finishes I have seen in a while.
2. All steel.
3. Hi-cap mags
4. Price was cheap.
5. Well made overall

Cons:
1. The DA trigger was long, gritty, heavy, spongy and just plain BAD!
2. The SA trigger was nothing to write home about.
3. It had a really bad trigger and I am not extremly picky when it comes to triggers.
4. It was fat and didn't fit my hand well.
5. The trigger was too far for me to reach confortably.
6. It is quite heavy.

Most of the problems are in relation to my model. I would buy another FEG in a minuit if it were the SA HP clone. For $200 they are a good deal.

There pretty decent little guns,The local shop blow out the 9x18 ones for $139.00 PPKs look alikes ,that model shoots great.:)

Far better than Walthers for instance and about 80% less cost in most cases.

I have currently about 6 FEGs and have had at least 6 others in the past. They are usually above average in accuracy, WELL above average in reliability, usually not very ammo sensitive and almost always low in price!

They have a lot of IMPROVED Walther designs; primarily they have a more straight-in feeding of ammo than Walther does; and that big jump UP that the cartridge takes in most Walthers to get the ammo into the chamber is about 90% of the reason why I am no longer interested in most Walthers.

I bought a PJK-9HP and after a little tweaking (clean-up slide-frame mating, remove mag disconnect, feed ramp, etc.) it was a good shooting pistol. Only thing I hated about it was hammer bite. Add that to no ambi safety and I'm left-handed, I ended up selling it to a good friend who's very happy with it. I put 2 or 3 hundred rounds through it with only normal teething woes and my pal has almost 1K through it. I'd buy another one if I was sure a BHP ambi safety would fit it.

I have the PA-63-best $100 purchase I've ever made. I did get the spring combo, and an extra set of grips, so I have around $150-60 into the gun. I've already put over 1,300 rounds of the Branual 95g through it without a single problem. In fact, it is right next to me as my carry gun. Accuracy is way above average for a gun that size, but remember-it does have a sharp recoil. After a few hundred rounds it never bothered me. At every range session I spend some time practicing my concealed draw, and have full confidence with my ability to controll that little gun.

FEG's are FANTASTIC!
I own several (PA-63,FP-9,SMC-22)and the 22 was the only one ive ever had a single problem with.During the first 150 rounds sent down range it had some issues.Since then its been flawless. The PA-63's are a real steal right now and we could officially declare you certifiable if you dont get one!;)

A best buy if there ever was one.

I have a Pa-63 and a PJK 9HP hi-power copy, that's my IDPA pistol. The hi-power clone runs every mag I've ever bought, and never jammed until I had built up thousands of rounds of residue under the extrator.. cleaned under it.. no jams since. Fit and finish weren't as nice on my old model as you'd get at FN, but the newer ones are better blued , if they stray slightly from being a true "clone" these days.

The PA-63 hasn't jammed on me yet but I shoot it less.. though I've noted a slower slide velocity feeding big hollowpoints in it. The lower is aluminum and on the soft side for gun metal but it seems to be holding up. Mine is a 380, rather than 9x18, only complaint I have is recoil can be stout with lead bullets, and its a bit big for a 380, still its a heck of a pistol for $100.
