Saw a FEG SCM-380 in a shop yesterday for 239$ And was wondering if I should get it. And are there any parts available or interchangeable for it? It is about the condition of the one in the picture

FEG is caput and parts are probably made of unobtainium. I would buy Ruger LCP instead.

Ruger lcp is to small I liked the look and feel of it just because it was close to a Walther
But good to know they don't exist

I have an Interarms Walther PPK/S .380, but my SIG P238 is a far better pistol. Far more reliable, softer recoil (despite being lighter), and better trigger.

Scratched my itch for PPK years ago when PPK were scarce and expensive. Not a good choice for a lot of shooting, because replacement parts will almost certainly be an issue.

I'm pretty sure PPK mags don't work in it, its a look-alike not a clone.

I gave about $200+tax for mine back in the day.

The fact that FEG is no longer in business has not made it hard for me to find parts. Most of the parts will interchange between all of the aluminum frame FEG's. I've bought two parts gun kits off of GB. Spare parts should always be a concern but there are Colt, S&W, and many other well known guns that there are no more new parts in stock.

It's basically a PA-63 in .380 and with an inferior finish. My advice? Get a PA-63. That gets you a better round and a better-looking gun.

Parts are fairly available for these guns, and the odds of actually breaking anything is slim to none. I installed a 13-pound hammer spring in my PA-63 to improve the trigger pull. Anything lighter causes light strikes. But it's reliable with a 13-pounder.

I will note one thing with these guns, though: the magazine is NOT drop-free. Even though there's a button, the magazine has to be pulled out of the gun.

FEG made good guns. Their Hi-Power clones are considered excellent. They don't get nearly the respect they deserve.

It's actually smaller than than the PA-63. The PA-63 is more similar in size to the Makarov where the SMC is the size of a P-64 and only holds 6 rounds.

DA trigger pull on those guns is awful. They are robust good working pistols otherwise. Spare mags will be hard to find.
