Hello all, I just got an email today that states:

"How would you like a FFL license
so that you can buy gun at whole-sale prices?

I've found the 'Holy Grail,' for learning how to This way is to obtain
your very own Federal Firearms License (FFL). You pay a one
time setup fee, and can get whole-sale prices on as many
guns as you like. Heck, you can even start a 'gun-shop' selling
to your friends!"

It goes on to list a website and unfortunately, it is one of those things that sounds too good to be true. I'm not posting the website because I don't want the mods to think I'm giving this bunch free advertising.

Has anyone heard about this "FFL Kit"? Any input?

Kirk

Yea, it's a ripoff.

They send you the ATF FFL application, your very own "bound book" and a list of firearm wholesalers. Everything you need to know to start up your own gun dealer business.

LOL. And going by their statements you'd get your application denied anyway.

Aquantance sales only (ie hooking up your buddies at cost) and buying for the purpose of expanding your personal collection are two ways violations of ATF FFL rules and grounds for them jacking your license.

They also conveinently left out code and zoning requirements and occupational licenses required by ATF to issue a FFL.

FYI, I had no intentions on going this route myself. I was mainly curious to see if anyone had heard of this or if it was something new that has recently popped up.

I recieved an E-mail like that one a few years ago. They wouldn't respond to any of my E-mail questions, like why should I send them money for forms that I can download from the ATF site for free.
