I have a co-worker that has a FIE SxS 12 Ga. that he said he will sell me for ?150. Seems to be in great condition, just has been sitting around for a while. I haven't been able to find much info. on the FIE brand of shotguns. It looks almost exactly like the stoeger uplander. It seems to me that for a decent SxS 12 gauge, that $150 is pretty good. Anyone have advice for me on the brand of gun, and the cost? My backup plan is to just save up and buy a $300 stoeger. Thanks!

I don't know much. Firearms Import & Export of Hialeah went bankrupt in 1990. Prices listed for their "Brute" SxS are low. 150.00 would be close to new / 98%.

It's not a bargain but it's not out of line either.

And I expect it's way better than the Crescent / Leader I almost bought (thank you, THR).

Thanks! Anyone else want to chime in?? I could use a little more info. if it is out there.

I'd maybe buy it, especially if it was of those neat looking chopped down at the factory brutes. It's probably just a Brazilian IGA repackaged with the FIE name. In my area at least, double shotguns go for higher than normal prices. Even NIB Chinese ones usually go for $200 on sale. And cheaper guns like the Stevens 311 would easily go for $150 generally in my area.
