I think this is the end of the mods to my MkII 22/45. Of course, I’ve said that before.

Currently the gun has a trigger, hammer, extractor & spring, disconnector spring, mainspring, V-Comp, front sight and rear sight by Volquartsen and rubberized grips by Dominic Notaro. Magazine base pads are from Dominic also.

None of these additions make the gun more accurate, but they make it a whole lot easier for me to shoot more accurately.

The gun’s set up for iron sight Steel Challenge shooting.

The new grips, which I just installed, make a huge difference in the feel of the gun. Lots of people complain about the thin grips on polymer-frame Ruger .22 pistols. I agree. I had a Hogue slip-on grip which was a big improvement, but looked ugly. Dominic’s grips are a new world for these guns. They add about 5/8” to the width. The non-rubberized grips are probably thinner, I don’t know. With the rubberized grips installed, the gun is much more comfortable. It feels like a real pistol, not a pellet pistol. At $17.95 and free shipping, they’re a heck of a buy.
