Really sharp looking rifle there. That is on my short list of "soon I will have one" for sure. Give us a range report soon. I had not considered the SS barrel before this however. Sounds like you made a great trade also. Way to go.:D

That looks great, Vikz; the synthetic stock is certainly the way to go. Maybe you'll dress it up a bit with a GI Model 1907 sling - leather, with brass hardware.

Your next decision: To reload your ammunition - or not???

We're looking forward to your range report...

great looking rifle.

If you don't mind using russian ammo through it, aimsurplus has great deals on .308 right now.

Ahhhh so envious!! Besides the rifle, does it come with a cleaning kit or anything of the sort?

congratulations. a great rifle that will take whatever you put it through.

Now you just need a wooden stock and you will be set. Just kidding. I realize some people actually like the weird black color on a M1a. I hope you love it for many thousands of rounds.

Thanks guys I can't wait to try it! Just have to get some ammo and sve some money for extra mags, anybody have any suggestions where to buy mags??

nice looking rifle, let us know how she shoots. i have the same one but switched out the stock for a gi walnut. either way i love the look of these rifles, especially with the stainless barrels.

thanks guys for the compliment,i just bought some federal 150grs just to try it this coming sat, hopefully I can zero it at 100yds with out burning all my ammo, quick question,it says in the instruction paper that to zero it,bring the elev. all the way down and then do 8 to 10 clicks??does anybody have experience regarding this zeroing process??

Zeroing your M1A

You may want to do a couple of 3 shot groups at about 25 to 30 yds as-is to see if you can hit paper before moving out to 100yds. You can get your windage dialed in and an approximate on the height. Then move out to the 100yds.
I was able to purchase a Police Dept trade-in with the synthetic stock about a month ago and tried this method with very good results. Problem was I only had 2 boxes of ammo.....not near enough. My bet it will become your fav shortly.

Try this site for mags: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/

Enjoy!!
