here it is. the Binford 6400 varmint slayer.

Found a couple deals that turned out to be real deals. it's a savage 25, with a bushnell elite 4200 4-16 i scored off ebay for $260. Here's hoping it shoots as good as the reviews.

That savage should shoot awesome, and NICE glass! What's the twist rate and what loads are you going to try?

Yeah, looked at a Cz, but at half the price - the savage was too good a deal to pass up.

its a 1:9 twist

Currently I have 3 Hornady profiles:
53 gr match hp flat base
55 FMJbt
68 hpbt

have varget, RL15, H335, and BLC-2 for powders

Mine is 1/9" as well. If it helps, 69g with rel 15 is very good in it. Varget did almost as well.

I was shocked when I read your post!!!! I thought you were saying you scored the Savage off of ebay! :what:

--cool rifle!

No experience with the 25, but I love my Savage 12FV. Averages about 1/4 MOA at 100 yards with my 55gr Vmax handloads.

I've also put three rounds into basically the same hole at 100 yards with 75gr BTHP match Hornady bullets.

Rifle has a 26" bull barrel, 1:9 twist.
