Alright. I am enlisting the help of you fellow THR members to help me decide on my next rifle purchase. I have already narrowed it down to a couple of options.

I am going to use the rifle for coyotes/varmint hunting. I haven't decided between a .223 or a 22-250 so that is one of the considerations.

Here are the choices:

1. Savage 10FP-LE1A in .223 only

2. Savage 12-VSS in 22-250 or .223

3. Remington
Model 70 VS

4. Winchester Coyote

5. Or a Bushmaster Varminter or V-match.

I found a good deal on the Bushie Varminter at $975 that will be hard to pass up, even though It's more than I wanted to pay. The other rifles meet the $600-700 dollar price range.

I'm not to crazy about the Remington or Winchester just because the factory triggers leave some to be desired on a tackdriver rifle, and the Savage and Bushie triggers are so sweet........

Any opinions and personal experiences with the above rifles would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

I've shot two different Savage 10 FP (with a plain-jane stock, not the one pictured in your link) in .223 and if you decide to go with .223, I don't think you will be disappointed with the Savage. It's very accurate and the trigger is very nice to use. With a Weaver Grand Slam scope set to 4x, I was consistantly hitting a steel plate at 600 yards (okay, at that range, I'm kinda lobbing the bullets at the target  , especially with the head wind). Buddy's GF was doing it, too and neither of us are expert shooters, either. YMMV and HTH.
