Finally found a small amount of 22 bulk at Wally's

Just got back from Wally's and was surprised to see a couple of packs of bulk 22 LR on the shelf, 1 Remington $16.97, and 2 packs of Winchester Xpert HV 22LR @$12.97.
Told the sales girl I would take all 3, as I'm paying for them, a man and his son come up to the counter asking for 22's. The clerk tells him they are sold out (without saying I just bought the last). They looked pretty disappointed so I fessed up and offered them any of the packs for the retail price. They happily chose a pack of the Winchester's and said they were off to go meet some relatives for some shooting.
Anyway, the moral to the story is , it seems things are beginning to loosen up just a bit for ammo. That was the first 22 bulk packs I've seen in that store for months.

I've never shot the Win. Xpert HV rounds. Anyone have any experience with them?

You did a good thing. I have had two opportunities within the last week to clear out WW's 38 special but only bought one box.

The Winchester HV's are pretty good; but now I ain't picky. If it's bulk 22LR at a Walmart price, I'm buying it.
