I've never been able to get the famous Savage accuracy out of my 114 in 7mm-08..... Until today.

Sierra lists their "accuracy" load for 140 gr pills in RL-15, but I have not had any luck with it, or factory ammo.

But after a couple searches here, I found Goose Gestapo's recommendation for 46 gr. of IMR-4350 and noticed that Sierra lists 45.7 gr. as their "hunting load" So I gave it a whirl with both the 140 gr. Sierra Game King BTSP and the 139 gr. Hornady BTSP.

Today I shot my best (and first sub MOA) group ever with this rifle, using the SGK. Center-to-center distance is 0.78"

Oddly, the load using the Hornady pills (which have a longer and narrower ogive) where not nearly as tight, and where 2" lower and to the right.

My model 70 in 7mm-08 also likes H4350 best with Sierras. I'm really tempted to try the new Sierra 160 Gr TMKs.
