i promised myself that i would never own one of these, but while being well stocked in M14s and AKs i decided i needed to fill the Black Rifle Quota. i guess i have never liked how most of these rifles lack individuality, so i went with the less common plane jane 20" A4 profile. it's a Stag Arms Model 4. im a total noob to the .223 world so we will see.....

I said the same thing for years. I was a blue steel and walnut kind of guy untilI bought a black rifle from a friend because he needed the money.

Now I have/had a safe full of them (sadly lost in a recent boating accident though).

You're in for a lot of fun and I'd wager it's not your last one!

Good for you. :) Personally, I never liked the things when I was in the service, and haven't had one since. If I got one, I think it'd be more or less like yours except an A2 model. Individuality be danged, I'd want one like the majority I handled in the service, just to see if of grew on me of it was my very own.

Remember, that is YOUR rifle. There ARE many like it, but that one is YOURS.

A rifle should have a 20" barrel.

nice shootin' TwoEye. looks like we shop at the same store. nice rifle. those groups gave me a nice tingling feeling inside. did you get those with iron sights?

Yes, but I also used a concrete bench ;)

BTW, I don't shoot that recipe anymore. I learned a valuable lesson about working up loads in cold weather and then having a few issues when shooting in hot weather.
