After 2 weeks waiting for AimPoint to ship my rings it's all done!

I got a CompM3 2 MOA with Arms quick detach mount.

Now the wallet needs a week or two off then I'm thinking about a Knights 4 rail is next :D

That's a bit high off the base for me, but looks good! See how you like it. I have one setup low to co-witness irons right on the dot pretty well.

Looks good! :)

Move that puppy all the way up front, I think you'll like it better. It will also allow your wallet to deplete some more for the rear BUIS your going want. :)

Looks good. Nice setup.

If anyone else wants that same optic, I am getting ready to list one for sale.

I just got a GG&G Cantilever. Its sits alittle foward of yours so I can use the flip up rear sight if the batt goes dead. Glad to see you got the Double Heat Guards.. As far as the 4 rail system, I just went with the single bolt on bottom rail, the foregrip, and angled pic rail from GG&G to mount a surefire 6P... I use my thumb. The cords for me are hard to find and I dont like to have to keep my finger on it. Plus I don't have to change my grip when I need the light I just hit the momentary switch while maintaining positive control...

I got the same gun 16" patrolman M4 Type... Love it..

I LOVE my Aimpoint. I am so glad I chose it as my optic.

Seriously, I feel like a God when shooting my AR with the Aimpoint. It's almost like cheating.

After shooting that gun last weekend, I can tell you that the AimPoint delivers as advertised. I'd never shot with one of these optics and was just expecting a red dot type device. Boy, was I wrong.

It's a red dot in the sense that it puts a red dot on the target, but it's THE WAY that it does it that sets it apart. That little dot just seemed like it was painted on the target rather than hanging in front of it. Once you get those things dialed in, I don't know how you could miss......

This get together last weekend is getting more expensive everyday... ;)

o_O Woah, dude. Take half a deep breath and swallow some of those smilies, RTFM, who threw a brick in your coffee? It was an offhand comment, and wasn't nearly the blasphemy that mob of curse-spewing redheads seem to think it was.

Seriously, what torqued you off so hard? I know about the "rules" post saying "please don't use God's name in vain", but I also know about the rule of not being a jerk almost at random to people for no obvious reason. If you had a problem with how mmike cracked wise about how easy his aimpost is to use, you could've PMed him, instead of disrupting the thread with your uncivil red-hued, over-face-populated commentary\.

On the other hand, that aimpoint is a pretty-pretty cool. Can you get them with different reticles?

While I PERSONALLY believe that all the additional :cuss: was over the top, it's still his right. I also PERSONALLY took your comment differently (even though you missed one VERY important piece).

You did not say you "felt like God", you said "a" god. I got it, I knew what you meant, but in the future, if you wouldn't mind considering NOT capitalizing the first letter of the word "god" when using the name in a joking or light hearted manner, I think it might be less likely to offend. God is God, and God said "thou shalt have no other gods before me"... So I figure I can poke fun at gods all I want and God won't mind. :D

On topic - I agree that the mount needs to go all the way to the front, for aesthetics if nothing else. I also don't think it's any taller than any other mount, but we're all used to seeing the cantilever mounts now and they just look lower because of the angle.

There, y'see? Onslaught posted a request in a jovial, civil manner, without extraneous smilies and ranting and text-screaming and throwing a fit. He asked that when one is cracking wise about the theomorphic properties of the Aimpoint sight, that one not capitalize the gee in god, because the god with the cap'd gee refers, in general English parlance, to The Big Man Upstairs, and doing that at the drop of a hat offends certain people (and, according to those people, also offends said Big Man).

Now, I don't happen to give a flip one way or t'other, because I sincerely hope that aforementioned uppercase god has a sense of humor, but because someone stated in a respectful manner tha such tomfoolery offends him, I respect him in return, and you'll note that I didn't refer to God (yes, Him) as such in the preceding farce, out of respect for the request of the aforementioned respectful offendee.

"Why is it that so many people think God is some kind of Meter Maid, always hunched over the meter in your soul, waiting for your willpower to expire so He can get you for something? It's madness."

Very nice
I am looking to put one on my AR, My understanding is if it mounts lower you can still pick up the iron sights
