And it was a pleasure to shoot.

Here's a picture of the shooting platform. A Savage 12FLV with a Simmons 6-24X50 scope. I removed the Bipod and shot from a Caldwell Handy Front shooting rest and rear sandbag.

The weather was mid 80s with a 10-15 knot wind blowing from the 9 o'clock position in relation to shooting bench and target. Target was set out at 100 yds. After several rounds to walk in the scope, I began shooting reloads. I also ran a boresnake thru the barrel about every 10 rounds with some copper cutter.

The reloads were Hornady 50gr V-Max in Winchester brass with Winchester WLR primers. Powder was Varget.

I tested 5 loads today. They were 35.5gr, 36.5gr and 37.0gr of Varget. The 37.0gr were 3 different C.O.L. from 2.340, 2.345 and 2.350. The 2.350 put the bullet .05 from the lands.

By far the most accurate was the 37.0gr of Varget at 2.350 with the average of 3900 fps.

Below is the group I achieved with the load above. Though not the greatest, its a start. I knew the one flier was gonna be out there cause it was a shooters error.

Next time I'll shoot the 22-250 before the 30-06 instead of what I did today.

There was little to no recoil with this rifle. The trigger was awesome. I really do love the accu-trigger set up on this rifle.

This is gonna be one fun rifle to shoot due to its minimal recoil. I plan on putting quite a few rounds thru it this weekend.
