K-1 thins keroscene very well, and so it soaks in very deep.

Glad to hear that you are using a decent powder charge. And your ball and
patch combo looks good. So many of these shooters are using too light of a
charge. I had a .50 with a Douglas barrel on it and it took 110 grs FFF before
it would shoot. I used a .501 ball and .022 patch, but I think the old Douglas
was a little on the big side. Good job on the rifle and shooting.
