About three weeks ago a friend called me and said that there was a Carcano carbine for sale over at Gunboards. I told him that I already had two Carcano carbines and really didn't want another one. He then said that it was Finn marked and priced at $135. I have a soft spot for Finn rifles.
I got on line and gave it a look and posted an I'll take it. :D

I do need to find a rear band and a sling for it.

Very nice. Great price too. Somebody used to have Finn marked Carcano slings, maybe Liberty Tree? They were high $ though. I think a green leather Finn sling - like for an m39- would also be correct. That's what I have on ine anyhow.

Very nice!

I've got a thing for finn-marked stuff also, but I'm only up to 2, both M91/30's. There's an SA-stamped M38 (I think it's the short rifle, not carbine) at a local pawnshop that's been mildly bubba'd; no handguard and a shortened forend, but it's less than 100 dollars. Liberty tree has everything needed to restore it, but it'd end up costing about 300-ish total gun + parts.

I saw one of those for about that price five years ago. I don't know why I didn't buy it right there. I consider that the one that got away. Nice catch sir.
