Something being attached to the suppressor doesn't necessarily make it a silencer part.
The issue comes with who can and can't possess the silencer. Doing something with the sights wouldn't even need to be done by an FFL unless you leave the weapon with them. But any FFL01 smith can work on the gun and replace parts. Just can't manufacture any new silencer parts (or perform certain other manufacturing operations) without a current FFL07 or FFL10, plus 02 SOT in the case of silencer parts.
and it still shoots about 3 inch left of POA and 7 inches low at 50 yards. So now I need to find a SOT that is willing to work on the gun I’ve 6.5 years for.
Could you have a picatinny rail mounted on the supressor tube and a red dot?
I know is would not look like a real one, but you could get it to shot to POA.
6.5 years reminds me of a story Ronald Regan once told about the USSR, it took about ten years to buy a car.
This Russian man had gotten the paper work and went to the dealer, paid the money and was told come back in ten years, he said morning or afternoon?
The dealer said what difference does it make after ten years?
the Russian man said, the plumber is coming in the morning!
