Finnish M28-30 rear sight removal help

hi i need to remove my rear sight on a M28-30 so i can install Mojo sights. i have a few questions:
1.do i drift the pin from the left or right
2. any special tools ( other than a punch)?
3. there is a strip of metal under the sight, about 2 inches long is that a spring ? if so will that pop out after i remove the rear sight pin?

Drifting either way, the spring should be dovetailed and will slide out forward.

The screw if for the sight base, no need to remove it, if your wondering.
