this is the american version to a Yugo SKS Grenade Launcher

being the launcher on an SKS IS an American/NATO spec item and not a Warsaw Spec item.

and that rifle grenades have been around since atleast ww1 off the top of my head.

sorry, i just despise that show. that does make a cool hole.

i should specify that its a NATO spec 22mm launcher on the YUGO sks. i dont know of any other SKS's with launchers, but other nations may use Warsaw spec parts

Man oh man, gotta mention this tangential subject about the future weapon blurb I linked to from that one - it's this one on the .50 beowulf:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CrUARlmqso&NR=1

This is unbelievable intentionally-misleading BS - go to 1:29 - 1:30 into that video and look at the pictures of the three ".50 beowulf" cartridges there - two standing and one lying on its side. The one on it's side is a .50 AE looks to me - oddly enough, too short, and the two standing - gawd only knows what they are - certainly not .50 beowulfs. They are proportionally way too long, on the order of a .50 Alaskan, but yet they DO have a rebated rim like a beowulf. WTH? That show is just unbelievable hype. Intentionally putting crazy long mean-looking rounds to make the beowulf sound 50 times as powerful as it is. They call it an "enormous" round, btw. Ridiculous. OK, sorry for the thread drift... :)

The Simon looks pretty strong - they should have called it "Open Sesame".

Let's see...it's only useful at distances of 15 to 30 yards from the door, and it looks like the damn thing nearly doubles the length of the rifle while loaded onto the barrel.

I can see many ways this could end badly.
