Which firearm/ammunition manufacturers are located on the east coast? I'm looking specifically for larger operations, i.e. glock, etc.

Pretty much ALL of them are on the East Coast.

In addition to the above you have:

Ruger in NH, Glock in Georgia, Remington in NC, Savage in Mass,

A few more:

Maine- Bushmaster
Mass - Kahr
Conn- Charter and Mossberg
NY- Kimber, Dan Wesson, Henry
Penn- Charles Daly
Fla- Kel Tec

Tinpig

Pretty much ALL of them are on the East Coast.
There are also several in Illinois, and a few out West. Rock River Arms, DPMS, and Springfield Armory come to mind, and Bushmaster has some manufacturing facilities in the midwest/west in addition to their Maine operation, I think.

Thanks guys, I'm looking for a job so I figured I'd hit up some of their websites to see what they have.

Smith and Wesson in Mass
Sturm Ruger in CT
Walther in Mass
Dan Wesson in NY
Berreta in Maryland
Marlin in CT
US repeating arms(Winchester) in CT
Sig in NH

There are others in CT, Connecticut shotgun mfg makes high end shotguns, Stag arms is AR mfg in CT, Seecamp is in CT, Wildey firearms is in CT

as someone mentioned..."they are all out east"

That's not true of course, but many many of them are.

Heritage Manufacturing in FL, and I believe the M60 is made at Saco Defense (General Dynamics....) here in Maine as well.

It's really ironic how many of them are in states that would just as soon put them out of business.

Savage is in Mass

Kahr is in Mass
NEF is in Mass
GD Armaments is in VT (owner of SACO)

Mossberg, Marlin and Lyman are in CT

Remington's MFG is mainly in NY.

US Repeating Arms is now in SC, MO and UT. the New Haven Plant was closed and liquidated

Well, when Colt, S&W, Remington, Winchester, Marlin, Iver Johnson, Stevens, Mossberg, etc. opened in NY, Mass. and Conn., they were the leading states in the new industrial revolution and most gun laws weren't even thought of.

i work at a calibrations and manufacturing supply house in Connecticut, and I'm on-site doing calibrations at multiple factories all week, every week. a lot of our customers make parts and/or guns. all across the state are places that make frames, firing pins, springs, and every other part you can think of... a vast majority of the major manufacturers don't make the parts in house - not after designing them. Many of my customers specialize in one thing - one of the greater Hartford, CT area companies makes spring (mag and other) for almost all the major manufacturers in the US. Another turns out the raw parts for ARs, some even make ARs in the New Britain and Hartford Area.

if you want a gun-related manufacturing job, move to CT somewhere - the Havens or Hartford area and you could work anywhere from Kimber to Colt to Stag, to Mossberg and any of the hundreds of suppliers that make parts for them as well!

i also work for alot of companies that dont do firearm related stuff.... they're never as much fun to be working on-site at
