I have been a member here for some time and I do more reading than posting, but I wanted to inform the group of a site that I created about 6 months ago.

In Virginia, we are pretty lucky to have the gun freedoms that we have, such as free open carry and a pretty good CCW permit, but we still find ourselves dealing with mis-informed businesses and overall ignorant, anti-gun persons.

That led me to create http://www.firearmfriendlyva.com/ to help keep track of establishments in Virginia that are not only un-friendly, but friendly. We want to help gun owners to avoid the bad ones by refusing to spend money in their establishment and reward those who support gun owners.

I have submission forms online for anyone to submit information to be added. Phone numbers and mailing addresses are a big help in aiding us to confirm if the establishment is indeed friendly or un-friendly. We always contact them first to confirm this before we add them to the website. I DO NOT want to falsely label an establishment, regardless of their stance.

Just an update. I have only received a few submissions since I started this site. As I state on the site, I always contact the establishment first to verfiy if they are gun friendly or unfriendly. Of the submissions that have came in, I have only been able to verify a few of them. I keep trying over a few weeks to get verification.
