Gunboards had a sale of mine not get paid. Buyer would buy from many people and actually eventually pay for the one of many items he chose to have. After the guy apparently defaulted with many others they suspended his account but they would not reverse the sales so they kept the commission on sales that never took place and would NOT respond to any of those he screwed with.

Paypal? Forget them!!! Back in the day I paid a blacksmith named Sam at Sleeping Bear Forge in Texas in advance for some simple but custom items. He delayed, shipped nothing, then hid (wouldn't respond to e-Mails or phone calls unless I used a different number -- then he'd pick up, the old fool). PayPal said I was a day late filing a complaint with them but when I finally got a human to listen they eventually gave me my money back. Then gave it back to HIM 24 hours later. Even if the money wasn't on my PayPal account as a credit they said they'd take it out of my bank account to give him even though he couldn't evidence he shipped to me.

I truthfully warned them the DA was about to be brought in, tracked him down at his part-time work as a blacksmith at the Johnson County Chisholm Trail Musuem in Cleburne, as well as his wife who makes and sells jewelry and takes pictueres, and PayPal finaly refunded me pulling the money from his account with the help of Mrs. Keller.

Dilligence!

Black Butte Holder and the DOJ have scammers working the auction sites. It's all part of the Obama anti-gun initiative.

$1,600 for a Colt Mustang Plus II
was there something extremely special about this gun?? Since they typically sell for around 700-800 bucks.
That puzzled me as well.

OP.............can you link to the auction?
I've searched both Gunbroker and GunsAmerica and could not find any Mustang Plus II Lite that sold for anywhere close to that amount.

If you are buying anything online I strongly urge you to use a credit card especially if you are dealing with a small company, new company or an individual. If you use GB or Ebay and buy from someone with a lot of feedback then they are probably going to be okay.

I use Ebay a lot and have only had one issue with a seller not shipping a product when advertised, saying he had shipped it and saying again that he shipped it. He finally provided a USPS tracking number but it was just a number and he didn't actually ship the product for 4 days AFTER the 3rd lie. Ebay refunded my money after I returned the item unopened but it took over 45 days from when I paid.

Your credit card company should refund your money because just about all of them have buyer protection. I have had to do this in a couple of instances(Dish Network anyone) with no problems. Credit cards can be the devil but can also be a great tool if used correctly.

Why did you spend so much on a .380 pistol? Did you expect it to do dishes and laundry too?

You state this as fact. Can you provide any citation for such a claim? Trust me, I don't like either of them but if I were a mod on this site you be banned. There's nothing helpful to the OP there.
