The Llama made 1911's were iffy at best, and were not considered up to the quality you would expect in a Bersa/Firestorm pistol. Check out www.bersatalk.com should you have an interest. I'm sure those folks will be happy to answer your questions. The last time I was over there the recommendations from the majority was NOT to buy the Llama made 1911's.. But, i picked up a newer Firestorm the other day at the gun store, and the quality seemed decent. But, I still couldn't get over that first one.
